S. Albert D. Hanser, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has over 45 years experience in the investment and banking industries. He has previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Resource Bank and Trust Company, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mr. Hanser was also a Senior Executive at Dain Rausher, a securities and investment firm; Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of USB Merchant Bank; and a member of more than 30 public and private corporate, civic, and philanthropic boards of directors. Before forming The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, Mr. Hanser served as Chairman of Hanrow Financial Group, Ltd. Other business interests include his family’s ownership interest in the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team for more than 50 years.
Mr. Hanser holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and an Executive Management degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance. He is a director of the Central Florida State Bank in Ocala. Mr. Hanser is also a director of the Community Foundation of Sanibel-Captiva, The Schoolhouse Theater, Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis, Lee Memorial Children’s Hospital, and is the Chairman of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He served as the Vice Chairman of the Sanibel 5-Year Budget Committee, and has served on numerous public, private, civic, and philanthropic boards throughout his career. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, and a longtime Minneapolis resident, Mr. Hanser and his wife, Sally, live on Sanibel Island.

Donald (Chip) Lesch, Vice Chairman and President, served as Chairman of Indiana Federal Bank and Vice Chairman of Pinnacle Banks of Michigan from 1990 to 1997, serving as a member of the investment committee and Chairman of the asset and liability committee. Prior to his banking career, he was founder and managing partner of Gough and Lesch Inc., a leading real estate management, investment, and development company in Indiana. Mr. Lesch has served on more than 25 corporate, civic, and charitable boards. He is a recipient of the prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash, Indiana's highest civic honor. Mr. Lesch is a member of the Trust Company’s Board of Directors, serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee, and is a member of the Asset Management Committee. He is on the boards of the Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation, Lee Memorial Health System Foundation, The Schoolhouse Theater, BIG Arts, and the J.N. "Ding" Darling Wildlife Society. Mr. Lesch holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University and an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School. He and his wife, Sheryl, live on Sanibel.

Richard E. Pyle, C.F.A, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, oversees the Trust Company’s investment management operations as Chairman of the Asset Management Committee. Prior to joining the Trust Company, Mr. Pyle was co-founder, Executive Vice President, and Portfolio Manager at Winslow Capital Management, Inc. in Minneapolis. From 1982 to 1992, Mr. Pyle served as Managing Director and Research Analyst at Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis. He began his investment management career as a Trust Investment Analyst for U.S. Bank in St. Paul before becoming a Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst for Wells Fargo and American Express Financial Advisors from 1973 to 1982.
Mr. Pyle earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from Macalester College in 1969 and did graduate work in economics at the University of Minnesota. He was awarded a Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1976. Mr. Pyle has served on committees for several non-profit organizations, and currently serves on the board of the Bailey-Matthew Shell Museum. Originally from Casselton, North Dakota, Mr. Pyle and his wife, Nathalie, live on Captiva Island.

Terence M. Igo, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, manages client relationships and directs new business and marketing activities for The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company. He also serves as a member of the Asset Management Committee. Mr. Igo received his Bachelor of Science in business and economics from Mount Senario College in 1982 and worked for Pitney Bowes and then Merrill Lynch in Minneapolis-St. Paul until his move to Fort Myers in 1990. Mr. Igo serves as advisor to many area non-profit organizations, helping to increase the awareness of philanthropic giving and estate planning to benefit individuals and their charities. Mr. Igo served as Co-Chairman for the Sanibel School capital campaign and currently sits on the Sanibel School Advisory Council. He is a board member of the Sanibel Community Association, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the African American Caribbean Center (AFCAAM), and a member of the Grants Advisory Committee of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation. He and his wife, Cristin, live on Sanibel.

Timothy P. Vick, Senior Vice President, Investments, is considered one of the leading authorities on value investing and the methods of Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett. He is the author of three investment books, including the bestseller, How to Pick Stocks Like Warren Buffett. In addition to client portfolio management, Mr. Vick is responsible for the Trust Company’s Special Situations product, securities research, and serves as a member of the Asset Management Committee. He also serves as investment advisor to various foundation accounts. Mr. Vick has appeared on CNBC and CNN and has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Barron’s, and The Chicago Tribune.
Mr. Vick holds a master’s degree in management from Purdue University and Bachelor of Arts in history and economics. He previously served as a securities analyst and portfolio manager for buy-side investment firms. Prior to joining the securities industry, he was an award-winning business, government, and investigative journalist in Chicago. Mr. Vick serves as a board member of the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra, Tradewinds Rehabilitation Services, and the Jim and Betty Dye Foundation. |

Sylvia D. Hutchison, Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, has more than 15 years experience in trust and estate administration. She directs client service operations and is the co-compliance officer of the corporation. Ms. Hutchison also serves as the management liaison to the board’s Trust Committee. Ms. Hutchison previously worked in the private banking divisions of Bank of America, NationsBank, Barnett Bank, and First Florida Bank. She attended the Florida Bankers Association Trust School and holds a certificate from the Georgia Bankers Association for Principals of Bank Operations. Ms. Hutchison was an honors graduate of her hometown high school in Cairo, Georgia. She was a resident of Atlanta, GA; Panama City, FL; and Memphis, TN before her move to Southwest Florida in 1984. Ms. Hutchison and her husband, Tim, reside in Cape Coral.

Susan W. Ayres, Vice President, Client Relations, has over 25 years experience in the investment and financial industries. Prior to joining The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, Ms. Ayres was an Assistant Vice President and Senior Project Coordinator for MFS Institutional Advisors in Boston where she was responsible for the organization of client services and the coordination of major events. From 1979 to 1994 she was an Assistant Vice President and Client Service Analyst for Wellington Management in Boston and worked in the High Yield Fixed Income Department of MFS Investment Advisors. Prior to that, Ms. Ayres was a medical secretary to the Chief of Transplants at Massachusetts General Hospital and an assistant gold buyer at Shreve and Company in San Francisco. Ms. Ayres and her husband, Les, moved to Sanibel from Boston in 2002.

Craig J. Holston, Vice President, Investments, had a decade-long career in institutional equities trading and order execution on Wall Street. Prior to joining The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, Mr. Holston was an Associate Trader at Deutsche Bank and then JP Morgan, where he managed the execution of client equity orders on the New York Stock Exchange. From his location on the trading floor, he provided valuable insight and market information to senior traders. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Holston was an assistant trader at Wagner Stott Bear Specialists in New York.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University and has completed courses in Portfolio Management at New York University. Mr. Holston lives in Fort Myers with his wife, Patricia, and their two children.

Betsey M. Herman, Assistant Vice President, Client Relations, has over 20 years experience working in the business and healthcare fields. In Baltimore, Maryland, Ms. Herman worked as a medical secretary for the Department of OB-GYN at The Union Memorial Hospital and later as office manager for Drs. Haws, Morris, Dudley, & Spencer-Strong, PA. Always interested in real estate, she gained sales experience selling houses for Long and Foster Realty and also as a loan officer at Home Security Mortgage. She then accepted a position in the real estate title business at Priority Title Services and eventually became a settlement officer. Ms. Herman lives in Fort Myers.

Linda Mason, Executive Assistant, Marketing, has more than 30 years experience in professional office administration. Ms. Mason coordinates the Trust Company’s marketing and special event programs. Earlier in her career, Ms. Mason worked for several major corporations as an Administrative Assistant. Those varied experiences include service with the Stauffer Chemical Company and Control Data Corporation. Her professional background also includes working for a Lockport, NY newspaper. Linda and her husband, Joe, live on Captiva.

Stephen R. Brown, M.D., Board Member, moved to Southwest Florida in 1992 following a distinguished career as Chief of Staff and Chief of Radiology at Anne Arundel Hospital in Annapolis, Maryland. Dr. Brown received his medical degree from the University of Dalhousie in Halifax, Nova Scotia before taking his residency and staff position at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Brown and his wife, Lena, are active in many Southwest Florida organizations. He is the Chairman of the Lee Memorial Pediatric Advisory Committee and serves on the boards of the Lee Memorial Hospital Foundation and Doctors for Kids.

John W. Burden III, Board Member, served as the Chairman of Federated Department Stores, Inc. and Allied Department Stores, Inc. from 1988 to 1990. Prior to that, he was the Vice Chairman of Federated Department Stores. From 1981 to 1985, Mr. Burden was the Chairman of Federated’s Abraham & Straus division and from 1977 to 1981 was the President of Federated’s Burdines Department Store division in Florida. For the past ten years, Mr. Burden has been a consultant in the retail industry in New York and Florida. He serves on the boards of Seventh On Line and Chico’s Inc. He and his wife, Anne, live on Sanibel Island.

Ginny L. Fleming, Board Member, a resident of Sanibel since 1987, received the Sanibel Captiva Island Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year award in 2001 for her community leadership. Her service to the area’s many civic and non-profit organizations includes board positions for the The Schoolhouse Theater, Community Foundation of Sanibel-Captiva, Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum, and Gulfshore Ballet. Beyond the islands of Sanibel and Captiva, Ms. Fleming serves on the boards of the Lee Memorial Hospital Foundation, Southwest Florida Community Foundation, Children’s Hospital Advisory Board, and the Edison Ford Homes Foundation.

Harvey L. Schein, Board Member, was a communications executive before his retirement. Mr. Schein and his wife, Joy, relocated to Sanibel in 1988. His distinguished career included serving as President, CBS International Division; President and Chief Executive Officer, Sony Corporation America; and Executive Vice President, Director News America Publications, Inc. Mr. Schein received his Bachelor of Arts from New York University in 1949 and his Juris Doctor from Harvard University in 1952. Mr. Schein served on the board of directors for the International Federation of Phonographic Industries and served as the Assistant Secretary for the Franklin D. Roosevelt Foundation. He is a Life Member of the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation and a BIG Arts board member.

Robert J. Wigley, Board Member, was Chairman and CEO of the Water Products Companies in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 1967 to 1985. Between 1989 and his retirement in 1998, he served as Chairman of the Great Plains Companies in Minneapolis where he still serves on the board of directors. Locally, Mr. Wigley was a member of the board of directors of SunTrust Banks of Southwest Florida from 1994 to 1998. As a resident of Sanibel and Lee County since 1985, Mr. Wigley has been a strong supporter of area non-profits and currently holds board positions with BIG Arts, Florida Repertory Theatre, Sanibel Captiva Kiwanis, The Schoolhouse Theater, Community Foundation of Sanibel-Captiva, and United Way of Lee County. In recognition of his lifelong commitment to helping others, Mr. Wigley was named Lee County's Outstanding Fund Raiser of the Year as part of the National Philanthropy Day Awards Program for 2004. Mr. Wigley graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts in economics.

Robert J. Odegard, Board Member Emeritus, was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Law following his distinguished career at the University of Minnesota. Under his leadership from 1970 to 1984, the University of Minnesota Foundation significantly increased its annual giving and set new standards nationwide for raising funds to benefit educational institutions. He received a Bachelor of Science in agriculture economics from the University of Minnesota in 1942 and then entered the U.S. Navy. Following his service, Mr. Odegard managed the family businesses with his father until 1966. During this time he also served in the Minnesota State Legislature where he was voted "Most Promising Member of The House of Representatives." Mr. Odegard has been a director of over 20 business, civic, and foundation boards. He has been a resident of Bonita Springs since 1997.
