S. Albert D. Hanser
Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Co-Chairman

Mr. Hanser has over 50 years experience in the investment and banking industries. He has previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Resource Bank and Trust Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mr. Hanser was also a Senior Executive at Dain Rausher, an investment banking firm (now RBC Wealth Management); Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and board member of USB Merchant Bank. Before forming The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, Mr. Hanser served as Chairman of Hanrow Financial Group, Ltd. Other business interests include his family’s ownership interest in the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team for more than 50 years. Mr. Hanser holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and an Executive Management degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance. Mr. Hanser is also Chairman of the Charitable Foundation of the Islands, and a former director of The Schoolhouse Theater, Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis, former director of Lee Memorial Health System Foundation, current member of LHMS Planning Committee and Director of Lee Memorial’s Children’s Hospital and past Chairman of the Cleveland Clinic Florida. He has been the Vice Chairman of the Sanibel Five-Year Budget Committee, and has served on numerous public, private, civic, and philanthropic boards throughout his career.

Donald (Chip) Lesch
Co-Chairman

Mr. Lesch served as Chairman of Indiana Federal Bank and Vice Chairman of Pinnacle Banks of Michigan from 1990 to 1997, serving as a member of the investment committee and Chairman of the asset and liability committee. Prior to his banking career, he was founder and managing partner of Gough and Lesch Inc., a leading real estate management, investment, and development company in Indiana. Mr. Lesch has served on more than 25 corporate, civic, and charitable boards. He is a recipient of the prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash, Indiana’s highest civic honor. As the Trust Company’s Co-Chairman, Mr. Lesch serves as the company’s Chairman of the Investment Committee. He is on the boards of Lee Memorial Health System Foundation, BIG Arts, and the J.N. “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society and served as Chairman of Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation. Mr. Lesch holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University and an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School.

Richard A. Botthof
Vice Chairman

Mr. Botthof, who also serves on the company’s Board of Directors and its Strategic Planning Committee, manages client investment and trust relationships in the Naples Division since its inception in 2009. He has an impressive 45-year career in the financial services industry, including his past position as the Regional President of First Union/Wachovia for Southwest Florida. Previously Mr. Botthof was an Organizer, Director, President and CEO of Commerce National Bank which was sold to First Union/Wachovia in 1987. Mr. Botthof has had a continuing passion in promoting regional economic diversification, having co-founded The  Regional Business Alliance of Southwest Florida and serving as its Executive Director from 2004 through 2008. He currently serves as director of the Economic Development Foundation and is a member of the Lutgert College of Business’s Advisory Council at Florida Gulf Coast University. Mr. Botthof has an extensive record of community involvement including past directorships in the Naples Philharmonic Center for Performing Arts, The Collier YMCA, Economic Development Council and The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Botthof attended the University of Florida and has completed numerous post graduate courses in Leadership, Banking, and Business. He was recently awarded Outstanding Volunteer of the Year award at the 2010 Excellence in Industry Awards.

Pat Dorsey, CFA
Vice Chairman and Director of Research & Strategy

President, Sanibel Captiva Investment Advisers

Mr. Dorsey leads the investment team and also helps guide overall capital allocation and corporate strategy as a member of the company’s Executive Committee. Before joining The Trust Company, Pat was Director of Equity Research at Morningstar for over ten years, where he was responsible for the overall direction of Morningstar’s equity research, as well as for communicating Morningstar’s ideas to the media and clients. He led the development of Morningstar’s economic moat ratings as well as the methodology behind Morningstar’s framework for competitive analysis. Pat is the author of two books— The Five Rules for Successful Stock Investing, and The Little Book that Builds Wealth—and has been quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, The New York Times, and BusinessWeek. Pat holds a master’s degree in political science from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in government from Wesleyan University. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Stephen R. Brown, M.D.
Board Member

Dr. Brown moved to Southwest Florida in 1992 following a distinguished career as Chief of Staff and Chief of Radiology at Anne Arundel Hospital in Annapolis, Maryland. Dr. Brown received his medical degree from the University of Dalhousie in Halifax, Nova Scotia before taking his residency and staff position at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Brown and his wife, Lena, are active in many Southwest Florida organizations. He is past Chairman of the Lee Memorial Pediatric Advisory Committee and currently sits on its board. He is also former mayor of the City of Sanibel and has been a member of the Sanibel City Council for eight years. Dr. Brown is a current member of the Lee Memorial Hospital Board of Directors.

John W. Burden III
Board Member

Mr. Burden served as the Chairman of Federated Department Stores, Inc. and Allied Department Stores, Inc. from 1988 to 1990. Prior to that, he was the Vice Chairman of Federated Department Stores. From 1981 to 1985, Mr. Burden was the Chairman of Federated’s Abraham & Straus division, and from 1977 to 1981 he was the President of Federated’s Burdines Department Store division in Florida. For the past ten years, Mr. Burden has been a consultant in the retail industry. He is currently a board member of Chico’s Inc., Seventh on Line, and the Chautauqua Foundation.

William C. Crowder

Board Member

Mr. Crowder, a lifelong resident of Tampa, FL, worked for 35 years in his family’s insurance agency, Crowder Insurance, Inc., until it sold to American Business Insurance. Mr. Crowder has been actively involved in community affairs. He has served as director for a number of organizations, including Barnett Bank of Tampa; United Cerebral Palsy of Tampa; Florida State Fair and Gasparilla Association; and the Florida Association of Insurance Agents, where he served on the Legislative, Compensation and Finance Committees. He was also a past Director and Budget Committee Chairman of United Way of Tampa. He served as past president of many organizations, including Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Tampa, Hillsborough County Unit of the American Cancer Society and the Rotary Club of Tampa.

Ginny L. Fleming
Board Member

Ms. Fleming, a resident of Sanibel since 1987, received the Sanibel Captiva Island Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year award in 2001 for her community leadership. Her many years of service to civic and non-profit organizations includes The Schoolhouse Theater, Good Neighbor Community Foundation of Sanibel-Captiva, and Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum. Beyond the islands of Sanibel and Captiva, Ms. Fleming’s involvement has included the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, Lee Memorial Hospital Foundation, Edison-Ford Winter Estates Foundation, Southwest Florida Symphony, and Gulfshore Ballet. She serves as President of the Southwest Florida Children’s Hospital Board and the Autism Fund, Inc.

Cheryl Giattini

Board Member

Ms. Giattini is a public relations and marketing consultant with three decades’ experience working with business clients and non-profit organizations. She is an honors graduate of Georgetown University and its Law Center and joined the National Public Radio (NPR) General Counsel’s Office as an attorney in 1982, working directly with NPR’s board of directors on development and governance issues. Following her early practice of law, Cheryl pursued a career in public relations and marketing. Her corporate clients have been concentrated in the financial services and commercial real estate industries. Clients in these fields have included Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands, the NHP Foundation, the Sanibel-Captiva Trust Company, and CarrAmerica, a publicly traded real estate investment trust subsequently acquired by the Blackstone Group. Her services have included the creation of marketing and investor relations materials, advertising campaigns, corporate identity programs, and special event planning.

She and her husband, Marc, are full-time residents of Sanibel Island. Locally, she has led significant capital campaigns for the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) to preserve hundreds of acres of wildlife habitat and to improve regional water quality.An active member of the community, she has served on the boards of the Community Foundation of Sanibel-Captiva, the South Florida National Parks Trust, BRAVO!Ballet and the Friends of Gulfshore Ballet.

Terence M. Igo
President, The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company & The Tampa Bay Trust Company

Mr. Igo has been managing client investment and trust relationships for The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company and The Tampa Bay Trust Company since the company was founded in 2001. He also serves as a member of the Asset Management Committee and Risk Management Committee. Mr. Igo received his Bachelor of Science in business and economics in 1982 and worked for Pitney Bowes and then Merrill Lynch in Minneapolis-St. Paul until his move to Florida in 1990. Mr. Igo serves as advisor to many area non-profit organizations, helping to increase the awareness of philanthropic giving and estate planning to benefit individuals and their charities. Mr. Igo is a member of the Board of Trustees of Hodges University, chair of Sanibel Community Association’s capital campaign, member of the Sanibel Public School Advisory Council, and member of the Grants Advisory Committee of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation. He has previously served as chairman of AFCAAM and other board positions including PURRE (People United to Restore Our Rivers and Estuaries), and the Planned Giving Council of Southwest Florida.

Charles H. Ketteman
Board Member

Mr. Ketteman has over 40 years of broad based management and executive experience. Mr. Ketteman spent 34 years with Arthur Andersen, first as an audit partner and then as the founder and long time leader of Andersen Business Consulting, which under his leadership grew from a start-up to a global business with over 13,000 employees in 40 countries. He specialized in management consulting services to the telecommunications industry, and has worked with some of the largest telecom companies in the US and Asia. Mr. Ketteman co-authored the best-selling book, Best Practices, Building Your Business with Customer Focused Solutions, and has been a featured speaker at universities and business seminars around the world. He currently serves on the board of LabVolt Systems, Inc. and West Monroe Partners. He has served on several community boards throughout the US, and currently serves on the boards of BIG Arts and The Sanctuary Golf Club.

James R. Lozelle
Board Member

Mr. Lozelle served as the Executive Vice President of Tower Automotive from 1994 to 1999 and served on its Board of Directors. Prior to that, he was President, CEO and principal owner of Edgewood Tool & Mfg. Mr. Lozelle is an entrepreneur who has started and grown a variety of businesses. He currently serves on the Board of Art Technologies, Computer Utilities and Tempress Products, LP. He is the former Chairman of the Precision Metalforming Association, and was one of the founders of the Regional Business Alliance of Southwest Florida. He currently is the Treasurer of the Naples United Church Christ Foundation. Mr. Lozelle is an avid boater and fisherman. He is involved with The Red Snook Charity Catch and Release Tournament, and was a former Chairman of the event. Mr. Lozelle received a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Wisconsin and a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Frank Morsani
Board Member

Mr. Morsani was the Chairman of the Board and principal owner of Precision Enterprises, Inc., which has owned and operated several automobile dealerships since 1971. A native of Michigan, Mr. Morsani grew up on family farms in Arkansas and Oklahoma. After four years in the Navy, he graduated from Oklahoma State University and began his career in the automobile industry. Currently Mr. Morsani serves as Chairman of the University of South Florida Investment Committee; Executive Committee of the Straz Center for the Performing Arts Center; Board of Directors Salvador Dali Museum and Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Past activities include Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United States Chamber of Commerce and Delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business, as well as many other civic and non-profit organizations. Mr. Morsani recently received an Honorary PHD–Doctor of Humane Letters from both Oklahoma State University and the University of South Florida. His business was named Time Magazine’s Quality Automobile Dealer Award in 1983. He was inducted into the Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame in 1991, and was named Tampa’s Philanthropist of the Year in 1997. He and his wife Carol live in Tampa, Florida.

Fred Pezeshkan

Board Member

Mr. Pezeshkan is a 30-year veteran of the real estate development and construction industry in Florida, and is now Chairman and CEO of Manhattan Construction Florida, formerly Kraft Construction Company, Inc.

In addition to his business career, he has a long career of community service and has helped to raise millions of dollars for area non-profit organizations. He was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for his support of education in Florida, the “Leadership in Fostering Education” award from Edison College, and is a member of the Junior Achievement Business Leadership Hall of Fame as well as chair of the advisory board for the Hall of Fame.

He currently serves on the boards of Hope Hospice and the Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida. In addition, he co-chaired the American Heart Association Southwest Florida Heart Ball and the Community School of Naples Angel Ball. He is chairman emeritus of FGCU’s Foundation Board, co-chaired the Governor’s Family Literacy Celebration of Reading in Southwest Florida for 12 years, and previously served on boards of directors for Village Banc, Northern Trust Southeast Region Advisory Board, NCH Healthcare Foundation, and Ave Maria University Board of Regents. He served as chairman of the Economic Development Council of Collier County and is a member of The Florida Council of 100.

John D. Schubert
Board Member

Mr. Schubert was Co-founder and a Senior Partner of SynerMed Communications, a leading producer of continuing medical education programs from 1984 until retiring in 2004. Prior to co-founding SynerMed, Mr. Schubert was Vice President of Project Planning and Development at Health Learning System from 1980 to 1984 which followed his ten-year career with Ortho Pharmaceutical Corp., a division of Johnson & Johnson. He and his wife, Donna, have been active in many area nonprofit organizations. He is currently a board member of The Schoolhouse Theater and PURRE (People United to Restore Our Rivers and Estuaries) and a past board member of the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) and the Good Neighbor Community Foundation of Sanibel-Captiva. He has been an active fundraiser and organizer including support of John Kanzius’s groundbreaking cancer research. He is also a member of the Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis. Mr. Schubert graduated from Bowling Green in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Adria D. Starkey
President, The Naples Trust Company

Chief Operating Officer, The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company

Adria Starkey is President of The Naples Trust Company and a member of its Board of Directors. She also serves on the company’s Risk Management, Asset Management, and Strategic Planning Committees. Mrs. Starkey has enjoyed a 30-year career in the financial services industry, including serving as President of Wachovia Bank, SW Florida Region, Managing Director of Wealth Management at First Union, and Vice President at Northern Trust Bank and Southeast Bank. Mrs. Starkey has served on the Board of numerous civic and charitable organizations since moving to Collier County in 1988. Mrs. Starkey was honored as a Woman of Achievement in 1999, Woman of The Year in 2000, and received the Edison College Leadership in Fostering Education Award in 2008. Mrs. Starkey earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and has completed several post graduate courses in finance and real estate.

Dolph W. von Arx
Board Member

Mr. von Arx is the former Chairman, President and CEO of Planters Lifesavers Company, an affiliate of RJR Nabisco. He retired from the position after thirty-three years in the consumer products business sector. Prior to joining the RJR Nabisco organization, Mr. von Arx was Executive Vice President of Thomas J. Lipton, Inc. and a member of its board of directors and executive committee. Mr. von Arx is a board member and lead director of Cree Inc. as well as serving on the boards of Aqua Scent Inc. and Juice Technologies, LLC. He is a retired director of Ruby Tuesday Inc. and International Multifoods. He was formerly a director emeritus of Wachovia Bank and Trust and served as chairman of the board of Wake Forest University’s Graduate School of Management. He currently chairs the Regional Business Alliance of Southwest Florida and is chairman of the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. He recently retired after serving 10 years as chairman of the NCH Healthcare System. Additionally, he serves as a board member of the Florida Gulf Coast University School of Business and the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts. He is President of the von Arx Family Foundation.

Robert J. Wigley
Board Member
Mr. Wigley was Chairman and CEO of the Water Products Companies in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 1967 to 1985. Between 1989 and his retirement in 1998, he served as Chairman of the Great Plains Companies in Minneapolis where he still serves on the board of directors. Locally, Mr. Wigley was a member of the board of directors of SunTrust Banks of Southwest Florida from 1994 to 1998. A strong supporter of area non-profits, he currently holds board positions with Hope Hospice of S.W. Florida, Uncommon Friends, Sanibel Community Association, BIG Arts, The Schoolhouse Theater, Good Neighbor Community Foundation of Sanibel-Captiva, and United Way of Lee County. In recognition of his lifelong commitment to helping others, Mr. Wigley was named Lee County’s Outstanding Fund Raiser of the Year in 2005 as part of the National Philanthropy Day. Mr. Wigley graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts in economics.

Robert J. Odegard
Board Member Emeritus

Mr. Odegard was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Law following his distinguished career at the University of Minnesota. Under his leadership from 1970 to 1984, the University of Minnesota Foundation significantly increased its annual giving and set new standards nationwide for raising funds to benefit educational institutions. He received a Bachelor of Science in agricultural economics from the University of Minnesota in 1942 and then entered the U.S. Navy. Following his service, Mr. Odegard managed the family businesses with his father until 1966. During this time he also served in the Minnesota State Legislature where he was voted “Most Promising Member of The House of Representatives.” Mr. Odegard has been a director of over 20 business, civic, and foundation boards.
